About Ryerson Academic Placements

Over 130 student placements from Ryerson University have been part of the Bahamas Every Child Counts (ECC) School-Ryerson Bahamas Project collaboration since 2011.

Faculty of Arts students interested in SOC 803 International Community Engagement course and placements must apply online, and be interviewed by Professor Golden to determine their suitability as academic placements at ECC. Enrollment is though the Sociology Department. See Course Registration and Fees for registration and selection process.

Faculty of Community Services ECS students interested in placements at ECC must apply through their Department’s placement course process. The students will be interviewed by Professor Golden to determine their suitability as academic placements at the Bahamas ECC School.

Professor Golden works collaboratively with the ECC senior administration to determine the Ryerson student skills sets needed every spring by the ECC School.
