Course Application Process

Timeline
The application and course registration process is a four step process. Details are found on the course.
application form.

Course Registration Process

1. Interested students must review the information email about SOC 803, the SOC 803 website, and watch the posted ECC videos.

2. Interested students must complete the application form, if they meet the prerequisites on the applicant form application form

3. A short list of students will be created from the applications, based on the needs of the ECC school, the student answers on the application form, the requested resumes, and diversity. Students on the short list will be interviewed by Professor Golden.

4. Students will be informed of the decision, after all applications have been reviewed. A waiting list will also be created.

5. Final registration in SOC803 International Community Engagement will be completed by the Sociology Department and not by individual students in the normal registration process.

6. A non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of registration into the course, as the condos are booked. The deposit will be refunded only if someone from the waiting list can take your place, or for documented medical reasons.

Course Fees

The tuition fee for SOC803 is approximately $700 for the spring session, due in the spring registration payment timeline. Upon acceptance students will pay their accommodation deposit.
